Part of the natural cycle
It is part of the natural cycle for wood to gradually decompose and become soil. Moisture, insects and micro-organisms quickly get to it. Nothing is left out!
Any part of the wood that touches the ground gets relentlessly, rapidly broken down. That’s if it hasn’t been treated to withstand rot, of course. Fyrås Trä does what nature doesn’t do for itself. We treat wood so that it withstands rot for many, many years.
Impregnation takes place using impregnation agents that are approved for the different markets. We are an NTR-associated company and conduct pressure impregnation according to its rules, which also means that we are controlled by RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden, the former SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden.
